Cornwall Park is a large green space in the inner suburbs with walking paths, native plantings and views towards the Waitakere Ranges. One Tree Hill sits within its boundaries.

Ponsonby is a diverse, walkable neighbourhood with independent shops, cafés, bars and restaurants concentrated along Ponsonby Road. It reflects Auckland's creative and multicultural character.
Parnell is an inner-eastern suburb with tree-lined streets, boutique shops, galleries and hospitality venues. Parnell Road is the main commercial spine.
Karangahape Road (K Road) runs through the city centre and is known for vintage shops, independent record stores, galleries and eclectic dining. It has a distinct bohemian character.

Auckland Zoo is located in the western suburbs and houses native New Zealand animals alongside exotic species. It's accessible by tram or car and offers a full day's outing.
Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium sits on the waterfront in Mission Bay and features underwater tunnel viewing and interactive touch pools. It focuses on marine life and conservation themes.
