Runners started from the Wintergarden car park in the Domain and from the Viaduct Harbour steps, covering marked 3-kilometre and 8-kilometre routes that pass through Ponsonby and the waterfront promenade. Several age-group categories saw new course bests, including the 40-49 men's division where the leader finished the longer loop in 32 minutes 15 seconds.

Participation data released by Auckland Council shows a 12 percent rise in registered runners at these venues compared with the same week in 2025. Entry costs remained at $8 for casual participants and $45 for the annual club membership that covers multiple events.
